Vivian is a longtime executive at the intersection of journalism, media and technology. Most recently, Schiller served as the Global Chair of News at Twitter. She has held several executive roles including President & CEO of NPR, Chief Digital Officer for NBC News, General Manager of NYTimes.com, as well as positions at Discovery and CNN.
Christina Farr is a San Francisco-based award winning journalist with experience as an editor, beat reporter, writer and speaker. She covers the intersection of health and technology, exploring how recent policy changes have opened up both opportunities and risks for Silicon Valley. Before joining Fast Company, Christina worked as a reporter for VentureBeat, Reuters and KQED. Her byline has also appeared in USAToday, The Telegraph, Washington Post and Mashable.
Simon Rogers is currently a Data Journalist and Data Editor at Google. Simon was formerly a Data Editor at Twitter, News Editor at The Guardian, and authored the 2012 book, “Facts are Sacred’. Simon edited and created guardian.co.uk/data, an online data resource that publishes hundreds of raw datasets, and is considered the world’s most popular data journalism website. In addition to his current role at Google, Simon teaches data journalism at the University of California’s Berkeley Journalism school.
John is the head of global influencer and cause partnerships at Facebook. Prior to joining Facebook, he was the president of digital of the news, business and sports properties at Time Inc. John also spent a number of years at The New York Times Company at NYTimes.com running strategy, marketing and operations. Prior to working in digital media, John worked in film production in New York City.
Charlene Li is a Principal Analyst at Altimeter, a Prophet company, and the author of five books, including the New York Times bestseller, Open Leadership and the co-author of the critically acclaimed book, Groundswell. She recently published her latest book, The Engaged Leader. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School and lives in San Francisco with her husband and two teenagers.
